About  Malkan-Kizhangu-Suranjan-Root-Raw:-

Yellow Colchicum is a perennial herb found in the Himalayas. Corms are ovoid, oblong, 1.5-3.5 x 1-2 cm, flattened at the base, with a longitudinal groove on one side. The coat is brown to dark-brown, membranous. Flowers are yellow, funnel-shaped, 3-4 cm across. Sepals are 6, united below into a long, narrow tube, up to 9 cm long. Segments are linear to inverted- landscaped, 2-3 cm long, pointed to blunt.

 

Benefits Malkan-Kizhangu (Suranjan Root):-

  • Malkan-Kizhangu is good against inflammation and pain related to bones. It is used in the treatment of gout, rheumatism, and similar joints related issues. It reduces swelling too.
  • Suranjan Root gives relief in gas, flatulence, and constipation.
  • It is applied on piles to reduce pain and it is considered good in the healing of wounds.
