About  Angaravalli,Cheruteku ( Turk's turban moon  ):-

Bharangi/ Cheruthekku is a perennial woody shrub with bluntly quadrangular stems. Leaves are usually three at a node, 3-8 inch long, oval in shape with sharp thorns. Thorns of this plant are pulpy and oily. Flowers of this plant grow in bunches that are slightly fragrant and pale blue pinkish in color. Fruits appear in groups of 16 and after ripening color changes to purple-black. Flowers of this shrub appear in the summer season and fruits at the end of the rainy season.

How to Consume  Angaravalli (Cheruteku) Internally:-

 Morning - Mix 5 gms of powder in 100 ml water, Boil the content for a few minutes. once the water gets warm, filter the content and drink it before food. Repeat the same for Evening Dosage after dinner

  • Paste of bharangi/ Cheruthekku leaves is used in lymphadenopathy.
  • Bharangi/ Cheruthekku has anti-microbial properties and is used in various worm infestations.

  • Paste of leaves is applied on wounds and ulcers to extract out extra pus and relieve burning sensation. It is also helpful in the quick healing of abscesses.
